Music has always been a cornerstone of Riff's life, from learning piano at a young age, to growing up in what was arguably the peak of clubbing, the 00's, to finally turning this passion into a career as Pup Riff. His passion extends through music into supporting spaces and events that promote inclusivity and self-expression, and encourage us all to take bold journeys of discovery and reflection to better know ourselves and connect with one another.

Many genres and artists have influenced Riff's musical style, and this journey continues every day, never one to shy away from new sounds and styles of music. Tending generally toward melodic styles of EDM in his performances and productions, Riff's music presents a harmonic blend of instruments, sounds, and vocals that keep crowds vibing and spirits elated.
Personal
For Riff pup life has always been about freedom, liberation, and self-discovery. It was through this headspace that he was inspired to reconnect with his passion for music and explore it further. From humble beginnings creating safe and inclusive spaces for people to connect and enjoy music together at parties, to becoming a regular at Brisbane events such as BootCo, Pup Riff Music was born. To this day, Riff continues to put connection with people at the centre of his work, and explores the unique role music plays in creating spaces in which we can connect with ourselves, one another, and the world around us.

A background in psychology has Riff always contemplating the experiences and emotions of others. It is this perspective that has made him well known for his ability to read a crowd and skillfully strike a balance between presenting listeners with music they know they love, and music they are yet to discover.

Having spent over a decade working as a data scientist, he is also loves tinkering with new tech and instruments to support his creative process of mixing and producing music. This shines through in his ability to create bootlegs on the fly with his use of cutting edge AI stem separation technology.
